No cycling today, so I went for a run in the gym. It was fun – never thought I’d say that – and it felt comfortable and not exhausting.
I also reached a milestone: I managed to run for 3k without having to slow down for 50m to get my breath back! Go me! I ran in ‘good conditions’ – I’m well-rested (thank you, weekend lie-in), I’d had a protein shake mid-morning, and I took a fat burner before I went.
These little milestones matter – they are the markers by which I can tell I’m improving, and that help me stay motivated.
